Gee, I hope their "spiritual" research really contributes to the field.

    The Catholic Church will never settle its internal conflict with between striving for human advancement and declaration of faith. Faith and reason suffer an insurmountable gap.

    Any money for research science, if they will actually conduct research science, is all for the better though.
